Do You Know No-No?

So I was looking around on Sephora.com yesterday and discovered this little thing called a "NoNo!". Do you know the No-No?! It's a sassy, brightly colored hair removing thingee and I want it. The ad says it doesn't hurt and it kills unwanted hair with heat, but it somehow doesn't burn you. Again, I want it. They say it's better than electrolysis. WANT IT! Does anyone have one? Does it work? If it does, tell my husband the hot pink one, please and remind him how much money we as a family will save annually if I don't have to wax. WAHOOOO!!!! NononononononononnoNO!

Inch Away Phenomenon

There is a strange recurring phenomenon in my life that revolves around haircuts and designer jeans. If you ask me, both of these things are highly desirable the edgier they are. I see them all around me...hipslung Diesel's with distressed leather detailing and the matchstick leg... sexy dark layers and a heavy bang that look like they belong on a girlfriend of the Killers or the Strokes. Close enough to touch, but always eluding me. I now refer to this happening as The Inch Away Phenomenon.

Example. I walk into Nordstrom's Rack and the "Fresh of the Truck" Rack is packed with sizzlin' Rock N' Republic jeans. All sized 26: an inch away from my waistline which is now 27. Pre-pregnancy, the same rack was packed with 27's, when I needed a 26.

Example hair. 99% of the time I go to get my haircut, I cry. I do everything I can think of to avoid this. I bring in a picture, usually several angels of the same cut to avoid any possible mishaps. I try fancy salons with pricey stylists. I try cheap salons with newly schooled stylists. I've tried giving the same stylist three tries, ( 3 cuts) to get my hair right. I switch stylists and towns. I've gotten trimmed up and down the California coast and all over Vegas. Yet somehow each stylist who claims to catch my vision will wash, snip, style badly and then I get in my car and cry. An inch away from what I want, several inches from looking cool.

Does this happen to anyone else? Is the Lord trying to teach me something? What's up with this Inch Away Phenomenon? How do I get it to stop?
